Seeking edge of the earth

day at ocean beach before fires up north

wishing it were not the heat or smoke or humans that set off the hell for others
but it is all of that and more...end of one time, beginning of another
I am starting the book with T. again...roaming through our own universe
inquiries about time and space
do not offer answers but do not take away either
this ambiguity
this clarity
only walking the edge of the earth
will take me to both
territories

It was only one month ago...

....and all was just the way it is in the afternoon and then it all changes, an airborne menace we all knew was coming one day, but when the day comes, we say we could not know.  Like love, death is final but somehow continues to live on, in memories, in pain, in concrete objects and inanimate places.  May we be blessed always with all these opposites, all this heaven and hell, with the falling and rising again.
