but if one can imagine good outcomes
one can live with the opposite
more easily than the opposite
scenario in which one imagines
the worst outcome and then wishes
for that to not happen after all
imagining is our great friend
and awful enemy

fear not i tell myself
crossing the barrier
to your warm space

It was only one month ago...

....and all was just the way it is in the afternoon and then it all changes, an airborne menace we all knew was coming one day, but when the day comes, we say we could not know.  Like love, death is final but somehow continues to live on, in memories, in pain, in concrete objects and inanimate places.  May we be blessed always with all these opposites, all this heaven and hell, with the falling and rising again.
